The place of the Emir of Bukhara in Kagan is located  12 km from  Bukhara. Kohon acquired the status of a town in 1929, and until 1935 it used to be called "New Bukhara".  It began to be actively developed during the Russian empire rule in Central Asia.

Khoja Zainiddin Mosque

 Khoja Zainiddin Mosque Category: Architectural constructions , Shrines. Location on the map. Khoja Zayniddin mosque - belongs to the 16th century. Khoja Zayniddin Mosque, one of the masterpieces of ancient Bukhara, is located in the old neighborhood. The mosque was built by master Mir Dustumbi on the oldest pond in Bukhara, in honor of Imam al-Bukhari, on the initiative of His Holiness Zainiddin. Khoja Zainiddin worked in Bukhara in the years 1465-1480 in the position of Qazi Kalon. The mosque was renovated during the reign of Abdulaziz ibn Ubaidullah Khan.
